Rules

 
 

  • Please submit 2 jars for each category entered (one for judging, one for display).

  • Use template at bottom to label your jars (tape or use a rubber band to wrap around jar)

    • Registration number will be assigned when delivered

      • Jars must have a proper seal. Wax or broken seals will not be accepted.

      • Contestants are limited to one entry per category.

    • Contestants may enter as many categories as they wish.

    • Prizes awarded will be 1st and 2nd for each category, and “The Big Dill” (aka, Best in Show).

    • Best in Show is based on overall score. Tie breaker is the consensus of the judges.

    • Scoring – scale of 1-10 in 4 categories:

      • Appearance

      • Flavor

      • Quality

      • Texture

Your entry must be delivered to Lost Bridge Beverage (2872 Lawrenceburg Rd, North Bend, OH 45052) between Monday – Saturday the week before the event between 11am-5pm or bring your jars Sunday before 11am.

The award ceremony will be Sunday, Oct 26, 2025 at 3pm

It all started when…

Marsha and Justin wondered if we could create a pickle contest for the Greater Cincinnati region. We met during the 2020 pandemic summer and kept revisiting the idea since then. In 2023 we tested the idea; 2025 continues our quest to make the pickle shine!
